Dr. Carley Saelinger, VMD, DACVIM (cardiology)...

Is a veterinary cardiologist who loves keeping both pet's and people's hearts healthy.

Carley really has two true passions in life - veterinary cardiology and exercise.  She has spent the last 12 years studying hard (undergraduate education, veterinary school, internship and cardiology residency) and exercising even harder.  Inspired by a veterinary faculty member who was also a group exercise instructor during her residency, Carley finally found a way to combine her two passions in life.  She became both a certified Spinning® instructor through Mad Dogg Athletics, Inc and a certified Body Pump® instructor through Les Mills while studying for board examinations.  She soon started instructing her own fitness classes and ran the NYC marathon in 2011.   Carley currently resides in Venice Beach, CA with her two English bulldogs and couldn't be happier to be caring for both the hearts of pets and people in the Los Angeles area.

Carley's philosophy on fitness are to achieve optimal physical and cardiovascular health through:

  1. Maintaining a vast comprehension of cardiovascular physiology and applying it to exercise physiology.
  2. Combining cardiovascular exercise with strength training.
  3. Always being open to try new forms of exercise to keep the body guessing.
  4. Being an experienced teacher in both fitness and academics encouraging others to reach their goals.

Carley almost loves music as much as cardiology and exercise.  Her Spin playlist is always changing from an old favorite hill song like Bono's In the Name of the Father to a racing flat road with the help of the French artist Yelle.  Carley is obsessed with finding new music and is always open to requests.

Don't forget that Carley loves pets!  Be sure to tell her about your own pets when you work out with her.
